Lumi by Mahek began with a simple frustration: most matte lipsticks ask you to choose between colour that lasts and a finish that doesn't dry out the lips. We spent longer than we'd like to admit getting the balance right before letting Café Soirée, our first shade, leave the studio.
We're based in Dubai, and everything about this brand — the packaging, the tone, the way we sell it — is built around that same instinct: take the time, keep it minimal, and let the product do the talking. We'd rather launch one shade we're proud of than ten we're not.
Considered, not rushed
Each batch is cast and cooled slowly. We'd rather restock than cut corners to keep up with demand.
